Fifo worker caught driving 160km/h on the way to hospital visit

Anthony Scott Kinsella pleaded guilty to the charge when he appeared at Northam Magistrates Court on Monday, October 1.
Kinsella was recorded driving 160km/h in his Jaguar on Great Eastern Highway at Warlin Road near El Caballo Resort on Sunday, June 17.
His lawyer Jack Trainor said Kinsella, who lives in the metropolitan area was in shock after being told his elderly mother was in hospital in York.
Mr Trainor said his client was overtaking a long stream of motorbikes when he was caught by a speed camera driving 50km/h over the speed limit.
Kinsella was interviewed by police on July 3.
Magistrate Jennifer Hawkins said the offence must be taken very seriously.
“This was a Sunday morning and it is very common for people to be out on their weekend doing what they enjoy,” she said.
“The prospect of things going wrong is very real.”
Kinsella was fined $1200, ordered to pay costs of $205.30 and has been disqualified from driving for six-months concurrent.
