Due to the continuous success of our Australian Water Business, we currently have an exciting opportunity for Electrical Engineers to join our fast growing NSW Water team in the Sydney office. This is an opportunity to join a dedicated and high-performing team of water professionals to deliver a range of significant projects for both public and private sector clients both locally and nationally.

  • Contributing to the growth of the business by actively delivering for clients and partners
  • Managing the production of concise high quality technical documentation
  • Establishing processes for identifying, managing and monitoring risks to project outcomes
  • Development of control system design and implementation deliverables, including control system architectures, I/O Lists, communication block diagrams, technical specifications, scopes of work, functional descriptions, functional specifications and test documentation
  • Development of instrumentation design including instrument schedules and datasheets
  • Active participation in HAZOPs and Risk Assessments
  • Driving the pace and efficiency in the delivery of I&C design and execution projects
  • Interface with vendors to ensure compliance with project specifications
  • Promotion of Safety in Design on I&C projects
  • Technical contribution to proposals and pursuits

To be successful in this role you’ll need:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering
  • Engineers Australia Chartership or actively working towards Chartership
  • A minimum of 10 to 15 years’ experience with knowledge of the Australian Standards and codes
  • Experience with water and wastewater process control
  • Extensive experience in significant I&C design and/or execution projects
  • Experience with radio communications design
  • PLC, RTU and SCADA development experience required
  • Siemens and Schneider Electric Modicon PLC development experience
  • CitectSCADA and ClearSCADA experience
  • Experience with multidisciplinary design interfaces (particularly process, electrical and mechanical) required
  • Understanding of related safety in design practices and processes
