About the Role
We are seeking highly motivated and experienced Electrical Construction Supervisor within our Asset Level Projects function.  The role is committed to spending majority of the time in the field with direct reports, monitoring, supervising and influencing work activities.
Reporting to the Superintendent Project Construction CP, within the Projects team your duties will include:
•Act as the enabler on behalf of the company to ensure internal and externally contracted services providers are able to perform sustainably at optimal levels of efficiency, whilst adhering to  BHP Billiton Charter, the BHP Billiton Group Level Documents, Code of Conduct and relevant statutory obligations
•Day-to-day on-site supervision of contractor and sub-contractor groups to ensure that design, technical, and quality standards are achieved safely, on time and within budget
•An overriding commitment to health, safety, environment responsibility and sustainable development
•Inspect and verify that relevant Catastrophic Risk Management Critical Controls are implemented and effective in the field
•Ensure compliance to the Contractor Management Framework on all projects 
•Continuously monitor schedule control and review work methods to improve efficiency and productivity in the workplace
•Positively engage and liaise with engineering staff for technical matters and support services
•Ensure Contractor compliance with the Quality Management Plan and HSEC Procedures implementation
•Fulfil the role of Site Responsible Person; and 
•Participate in the commissioning process by assisting in the timely troubleshooting and resolution of problems
About you
As the successful candidate you will possess the following: 
•Post-trade qualification in construction related discipline
•Licensed electrician is preferred
•Significant experience in the construction / heavy engineering / mining sectors with proven experience in the administration and supervision of contracts and contractors
•Demonstrated field leadership experience
•Advanced troubleshooting and problem solving skills
•Ability to identify and mitigate key project risks
•Ability to interpret technical documents and drawings and apply timely practical solutions
•Sound interpersonal, communication and stakeholder management skills; and 
•Minimum of C class manual drivers license.

You will be based at one of our mine sites in the Pilbara region of Western Australia, on a fly-in fly-out 14 days on 7 days off  roster.   Our FIFO villages have a wide range of facilities and all rooms have their own ensuite bathroom, television, refrigerator and air-conditioning.
