The Opportunity

We are looking for an Electrician Auto to provide auto electrical skills and knowledge in order to complete planned and breakdown maintenance in the Mobile Equipment Maintenance (MEM) Department, on a wide range HME fleet.

Located 60km west of Pannawonica, Mesa A was opened in 2010 as part of the westwards progression of mining in the Robe Valley. This open pit iron ore operation with site-based processing facilities offers a fly in fly out roster.


What the role entails

This role is a great opportunity for someone who has a strong work ethic and a 'can do' attitude. Working an 8 days on, 6 off, 7 nights on, 7 off roster and reporting to the Supervisor Maintenance, you will be:

  • Performing planned maintenance activities on the Heavy Mobile Equipment (HME) fleet as per the weekly plan
  • Identifying machine related defects and ensuring they are captured in SAP and assisting the Technical Officers and Maintenance Planners in the development of maintenance strategies for the HME fleet
  • Performing breakdown maintenance on the HME fleet as required on a shift by shift basis


What you will need for this role

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • An Automotive Electrician trade qualification
  • A "C" class driver's licence
  • Experience with heavy equipment auto electrical principles
