Job Description

The Water and Wastewater Division of Tamworth Regional Council is seeking the services of an enthusiastic individual with experience in maintaining, repairing and upgrading electrical, control and monitoring equipment associated with their water and wastewater treatment, storage and distribution systems.

Other key responsibilities will include:

  • Operating, maintaining, calibrating and programming electrical equipment;
  • Supervising and coordinating apprentice staff, including training and/or instructing staff in operating and maintaining plant and equipment; and
  • Identifying risk and applying risk management processes.

The successful candidate will bring to this position:

  • An Electrician or Electrical Fitter Trade Certificate (or related discipline)
  • An Electrician's Licence
  • A current drivers licence
  • A WHS Construction Induction Card
  • The ability to work well in a team and to build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders
  • A Certificate IV in Electrical/Electronic Systems and/or a Diploma in Electrical Engineering would be highly regarded

This position has been classified as a Grade 10 with a salary range of $1,048.90 to $1,135.00 plus superannuation for 38 hours work per week.

Flexible working arrangements will be considered by mutual agreement and according to operational requirements.
