The Role

ARA Electrical division (Switchboard Manufacturing) are looking for an enthusiastic Apprentice Electrical Fitter to join the Switchboard Manufacturing team.

This is an opportunity to start your electrical fitting career in a great team environment. You will be working on projects for various industrial and commercial projects.  These projects will be for both internal and external clients across Australia in commercial and industrial sectors including Infrastructure, retail, education, construction and manufacturing.

Your duties will include:

  • Assist with the assembly of electrical switchboards, reading drawings / interpretation of specifications
  • Assist with wiring of various switchboards including Motor Control Centres, PLC Panel, Field Control Panels etc.
  • Follow relevant codes and industry standards which govern electrical installation and maintenance
  • Demonstrate aptitude with electrical and mechanical tools
  • Understand written information and instructions and correspond clearly and concisely
  • Understand inventory stock components used 
  • Other duties as directed

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Year 12 (preferred)
  • An interest in a career in Electrical Fitting (This is a factory based role)
  • Good communication skills
  • The ability to work as part of a team
