About the role

It is an exciting time for our projects team nationally as we see continued growth with local and national projects kicking off. This growth has opened FIFO opportunities in our South Australia team for Project Engineers.

Working onsite as part of our projects team, you will be encouraged to proactively lead and manage onsite scoping and costing works in conjunction with relevant client, trade and site liaison. Hence, we are looking for Project Engineers who have outstanding stakeholder engagement abilities as well as a can-do attitude in relation to project completion.

We work with key clients across water, hydrocarbons, infrastructure and mining and minerals and you will join a commercially successful team that works with the client to deliver projects and partner for future success.

About you

We are looking to provide flexible options for locally based (Adelaide based candidates willing to do FIFO work to Whyalla and other site based projects, Whyalla based candidates or those willing to relocate to Whyalla for longer term periods of time) degree qualified Projects Engineers from the following disciplines:

  • Structural, Mechanical and Piping (SMP) Project Engineers,
  • Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) Project Engineers,
  • Control Systems Project Engineers.

As a Project Engineer you will bring to the role:

  • Experience in Mining and Minerals processing projects or the infrastructure or hydrocarbons industries in South Australia,
  • Strong engineering discipline experience,
  • Confidence in project practices, principles and procedures,
  • Experience in EPC projects, with strengths in managing multiple projects,
  • Experience working and delivering site based projects is essential,
  • Experience and understanding of working with project phases from concept through to commissioning,
  • Ability to lead site and office based teams (design, trades, client and contractors),
  • Engineering design management experience,
  • Significant estimating (first principle) and schedule management experience,
  • Strong commercial acumen and the confidence to guide the planning of projects and Contract Administration.
