Experis has partnered with Lockheed Martin Australia to support their Future Submarines Program and we have a rare but exciting permanent work opportunity for a Reliability Engineer.

The role will see you develop, coordinate and conduct technical reliability studies and evaluations of engineering design concepts and Design of Experiments (DOE) constructs.

The role will also see you working on (but not limited) the following:

  • Provide Subject Matter Expert (SME) advice and guidance to a range of stakeholders across the Company with respect to Reliability Engineering matters.
  • Apply advanced FMECA & RCM techniques and methodologies to identify the effect and modes of failure on equipment either integrated or manufactured.
  • Apply and review advanced Reliability Block Diagrams to identify predicted system availability and points of failure.
  • Apply and review advanced LORA and MTA techniques and methodologies to establish repair levels and procedures of maintainable and/or replaceable items.
  • Conduct spares assessment and support agreement analysis.
  • Analyse system failures and, where applicable, perform Root Cause Analysis and update the system reliability model with operational data.

To be successful for this role, you will need (but not limited to) the following:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline (electronic / electrical / systems / mechatronic engineering etc.) from a recognised institution, and/or equivalent relevant experience (preferably within the defence industry)
  • Relevant certifications or Professional membership
  • Extensive experience in logistics and maintenance management related areas
  • Extensive experience with supportability analysis
  • Significant knowledge of other related disciplines, particularly within engineering
  • Substantial experience in Defence or similar projects requiring logistics engineering activities to be performed.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills and experience in the use of MS Office and other relevant software packages and applications
  • Previously held or eligible for an NV-1 security clearance
  • Maritime defence experience (ideally)
