We are currently seeking a motivated Commissioning Technicianwith a hands on approach and a can do attitude. The position will be based at our Northern Adelaide, Burton office, located approximately 35 minutes from the CBD. This role will be responsible to assist in Commissioning water treatment plants, supporting Engineering, Projects and Operations staff and will report to the Commissioning Team Manager/Lead Commissioning Engineer.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Working with customers and suppliers to perform factory and site pre-commissioning;
  • Creating pre-commissioning documents that apply to the project;
  • Pre-commissioning work onsite including; communication with site managers and other site contacts, confirming all site installation works have been done according to drawings, good design practice, Australian Standards and client specifications, set up and configuration of equipment ready for wet commissioning, assist Project Engineers/Managers with completing punch list items where required, setting up, verification and calibration of instruments, setting up VSDs, providing daily progress reports where necessary;
  • Assisting with automation and PLC programming tasks where required;
  • Provide automation and network (such as SCADA) support to Projects as required.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Trade or Engineering/Electrical/Instrumentation Qualifications;
  • B class electrical disconnect / re connect licence;
  • Electrical and Instrumentation experience/knowledge;
  • Attention to detail, particularly in regard to following QAS procedures and completing paperwork;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Highly developed troubleshooting skills;
  • A current driver’s license;
  • Availability to travel with short notice for FIFO, DIDO and roster work;
  • PLC programming experience will be highly regarded.
