Job Description

Your new company
Our client is among the world’s top producers of major commodities including iron ore, metallurgical coal, copper and uranium. They extract and process minerals, oil and gas from its production operations located primarily in Australia and the Americas.

Your new role
You will be responsible for providing maintenance support to the Mine Electrical department. Your duties will include but are not limited to; installing and applying communications systems underground, developing and maintaining communication systems and technical assistance for plant improvements.

The ability to abide by quality control procedures and safety regulations and to provide required documentation will be imperative.

What you'll need to succeed
In order for you to be considered for this role,

  • you will be trade qualified in electrical or communications.
  • AUSTEL certified
  • You will have experience in maintenance or operation in mining or similar heavy industry, you may also come from a military background in a similar role.
  • You will have extensive knowledge in communication networks, in particular, radio networks.
  • You will also have knowledge in CCTV and fibre optics
