Fortescue's Nev Power plugs into energy debate

Opinion: Consumers pay for the excessive high cost of electricity because of all the price gouging and market gaming by generators, network operators and retailers. If you breakdown the cost chain from generation to the final price the customer pays you will have a better (and transparent) idea of who is profiting at the cost of the customer. It has already been determined by persons more 'expert' than a mining company executive that the transition from coal to clean energy ( solar, wind, etc) will likely bypass gas, so as much as its a lower emission source of power generation ( gas),, its is now possible to make to not so quantum leap to a zero emission source of power generation with added storage ( and storage is not just batteries).
