Opinion:

Thank you all for this analysis. The essentials of it were known broadly when I first became involved in electricity pricing through corporate involvement in the uranium cycle, mid-1970s onwards. There are distortions of the fundamentals that are distressing. It is no joy for anybody to rediscover the basics, even when price/performance information now comes from a larger operational data base. The first steps to cheaper electricity must include scrapping the RET in it various forms and disengagement from the Paris agreement. Those alone have the potential for significant improvement. Your mentions of nuclear are particularly welcomed. I'd like to hear something of the official responses to your report, if that is possible. Geoff, 06/09/18
